A LIFE OF FAITH, EXCELLENCE, AND SERVICE.

Deana Kissah Miller Dyson was born on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, on July 19, 1975, to Marty and Penny Miller. She lived out loud and boldly showed up in everything she set out to do. She completed her college education through the University of Illinois system, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus in Business Communication and Group Dynamics, with a concentration in Change Management. Professionally, she worked for Fortune 500 companies and government contractors, which afforded her opportunities to support the United States Marine Corps.

She went on to earn certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Prosci Change Practitioner. Deana was committed to efficiency and operational sustainability and, for over 30 years, served as a Program Director, Chief of Staff, and Business Management and Transformation Leader at major companies—impacting the professional lives of everyone she encountered. Deana took pride in her work and cared deeply about each person she worked with, often pouring into their lives long after the workday ended.

Deana’s Christian faith guided her daily walk, and she consistently sought ways to be a blessing to others. She is survived by her husband, son, parents, brothers, sisters, niece, nephews, and countless others who were touched by her intentional kindness and quiet “winks” of love.
